Acupuncture can help

Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or to relieve specific pains like osteoarthritis of the knee, nausea, short term relief for tension type headaches as well as dental pain and migraine. Some use acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis. Others choose acupuncture simply to enhance their feeling of wellbeing. Acupuncture is considered suitable for all ages including babies and children. It can be used effectively alongside conventional medicine. For further information on migraine please download the fact sheets from here

Treatment is aimed at the root of your condition as well as your main symptoms. This approach helps with resolving your problem and enhancing your feeling of wellbeing.

About Acupuncture

A Traditional healing therapy

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is a healing system originating in the Far East and has been practised for more than 2,000 years. The focus of acupuncture treatment is on improving the overall well being of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptom.

Traditional Chinese philosophy tells us that our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy, known as Qi, this energy moves in a harmonised way through a series of meridians beneath the skin.

Through the insertion of ultra fine sterile disposable needles into the meridians, your acupuncturist aims to ensure that the Qi continues flowing in its harmonised path thus stimulating the body’s natural healing response.

What Our Clients think...

I suffer from arthritis of the back and knees, I take many different pain medications but in most cases only get mild relief from the constant pain. I have found that I get more relief with acupuncture than conventional medicines, in fact I can have more days of pain relief from 1 treatment session than I get from my usual medication.

After learning that my partner and I were to undergo IVF, I heard great things about the benefits of acupuncture. In the 6 months leading up to treatment, I had weekly acupuncture sessions with Debbie. It completely changed my life. Not only did I find I was able to handle stress and my emotions better, but I had a positive outlook on the whole process throughout. My partner even gave it a go and enjoyed the treatment himself! I was delighted to become pregnant after my first round of IVF. I honestly believe this was down to the acupuncture treatments I had beforehand. I was relaxed, and ready for the process and intend to go to Debbie again for baby number 2! I recommend Debbie wholeheartedly for anyone in need of relaxation or a baby!

I came to Debbie suffering from terrible insomnia. After just a few sessions I saw improvements, and 18 months on I’m so much better. I still see Debbie regularly and she helps me to keep stress and sleepless nights at bay. She’s professional, caring and always willing to help however she can. I honestly don’t know what I’d have done without her!
